SANBOX project | Norplast

Norplast SIA are among six small and medium enterprises and four research institutes from six European countries participated in SANBOX project to develop an innovative sanitation and wastewater treatment system for remote located tourist facilities. The SANBOX system aims at reaching high treatment performance, recycle water and nutrients and use solar power as energy source. The vision is to come close to a self-sustaining zero effluent treatment system. The project started in April 2009. The prototype testing started in the summer and autumn of 2010 involving the Swiss Alpine Club in Switzerland, the Soline at Piran Saline Natural Park in Slovenia and Kaja Student Dormitories in Ås, Norway.
