     Caring for sustainable production and ensuring these processes are as environmentally friendly as possible, the fiberglass production facility “Vecsaldes” in Saldus parish, Saldus district, has completed the installation of a solar panel system. As part of the project, the 150 installed solar panels with a total capacity of 50 kW will allow the facility to produce at least 17% of its total electricity consumption from renewable sources. An investment of 64,000 euros was made in the installation of the solar system, and it is planned to generate at least 59,906 kWh annually, achieving the maximum CO2 emission savings of 5.615 tons per year. The project implementation received European Union Recovery and Resilience Facility support funding of 19,255.22 EUR. The solar system construction project was carried out in cooperation with SIA GJ4.
